51VV视频在线观看_暧暧视频 免费观看Northern Arizona University is striving to become a campus of excellence for first‐generation students. There are many ways we are making this a reality. The information throughout this website will provide information and hints for prospective or current students, as well as resources for faculty, staff, and families.

Almost 46% of NAU students on the Flagstaff campus identify as first-generation, meaning neither of their parents earned a bachelor’s degree. First‐generation students are trailblazers, forging new paths for themselves and their families.
Mentor a First-Generation Student
The First-Generation Mentor Program enables NAU faculty and staff to share their professional and personal experience with current first-generation students. The connections made in the program help prepare our students for a successful future and leave a lasting impact on our campus community.
As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to advise a student on academic guidance, career advice and personal development for the academic year (October to May). We encourage mentors and mentees to connect on a regular basis (i.e. once a month phone call, in person meeting, or email conversation). Mentors do not have to be on the Flagstaff Mountain campus to work with students. Whether you are right down the street or across the globe, we invite all faculty and staff to be part of the First-Generation Mentor Program.
What a Mentor Does:
- Attend a training workshop
- Connect once a month with your mentee
- Be a supportive adult and role model for each student
- Attend occasional First-Generation Programs social events
Mentors are trained and receive ongoing support, as needed, from First-Generation Programs staff.
Thank you for your interest in mentoring a first-generation student on-campus. At this time we have met the need for mentors. However, please note there are many opportunities to partner or volunteer with our office. Complete this Google Form if you would like to stay in the know with our office:
